With Couturier, Hayes, Giroux (who can play center but shifted to wing) and Frost coming up, the center position is Patricks to lose. He has not transitioned as anticipated and his value is down from the #2 overall pick in 2017 because of his production and that he only has 1 more season left on ELC (as in he needs a new deal next year). Philadelphia chases another ranger (cough hayes) and overpays them.

yeah this will never happen.. just for jokes because i still find it hilarious that Philadelphia has both Hayes and AV-- seems like kreider would be a target considering they are much stronger at center and d than wing. (Cout, Hayes, Frost are three solid options with two clearly above Patrick, flyers def hit on the frost pick as well)


But in all seriousness, I think Patrick will break out within the next two years (if he's not kept down the lineup). Have the same gut feeling I did 4 years ago about MacKinnon with the untapped potential there. Probably wont get to that level, but could get to a Scheifele level (point per game player)
