Description
So what a weekend we get our Franchise center, have a very sound draft overall and steal Kerby Rychel from Columbus. So what do we do in free agency. Well we need a quality shutdown dman with a right hand shot so who can fill that role and 26 or younger? well how bout bringing back Luke Schenn. He might be a good fit in babcocks structured system and checks all the boxes other than supremely offensively talented. But with Gardiner, Zaitsev, Reilly on the roster we really don't need offensive engine but just a physical Shut down D that if given the chance is a decent 2nd pair Shutdown dman.

Well, my thinking is that he plays the role we need on our defense and young enough to be part of the solution. also just look how well he played in LA maybe he just needs a proper structured system to play well.

Shoot me in the head if I have to watch Luke Schenn play defence in a Leaf uniform again... so bad, so slow, so lacking in awareness, so unathletic.. not an NHL player... never mind 3+ million for him.
