To simply put it, NYR recieves the conditional 3rd rounder they once gave to Carolina in the Fox trade. This gives us back our 3rd rounder and secures our 2nd round draft pick for us. I’m pretty sure that’s allowed, correct me if I am still wrong.

Yes, it would just have to be separately as part of a conditional that’s untethered to original deal (ie, dealing whatever pick remains after original trades conditions are met).

But you can’t attached conditions to a player not involved in trade.
