I see a lot of AGM;s with both Suzuki and Poehling in their line up. It is my opinion that unless they are filling top nine rolls they are much better starting the year in Laval. I see Poehling being much more ready than Suzuki. Should one or both of these young players force the issue in training camp, how do the line shake out. We have a plethora of bottom six forwards. So if the kids earn a spot where does everybody play. I really thought we would see the likes of Hudon and McCarron moved for pretty much anything but the fact that are both signed means that Habs management are still holding out some hope that they can contribute. Hudon is on a one way contract and if he doesn't make the team he will most likely not clear waivers to be sent down.

In a perfect world KK takes a step forward and plays 2C this year. This would open up the 3C spot for Poehling if he earns it. If this happens then Domi probably moves back to the wing. We still need a goal scoring RW, We have some future players that will hopefully fill that roll but toady we may be forced to move a left shot player to that side or make a trade for one.

A trade with Edmonton could possibly get us that RW and a top pairing LD. Nurse is going to be looking for a big new contract, that Edmonton may not be willing to commit to, do to their depth of young defenders coming. Although they will have more than enough cap space next year to fit him in. Addition of a top six forward maybe something that Edmonton has some interest in. Mete will fill the hole left by Nurse and can be resigned next year at a more team friendly number.
Puljujavi wants out and a change is probably what he needs. Hudon's numbers are very similar to Puljujavi and both players need a change.

I believe that there is equal value here for both teams and this trade is a hockey trade making both teams better. Montreal may need to add a mid round draft pick.
