    MB better start looking at the options now! I love Price, he's the best goalie in the world (barring injury) but if he's going to get 12m in his next contract then trade him while his value is really high and get a bunch of good prospects and picks to rebuild on the fly. I truly believe no one player is worth that much and the cost effectiveness of replacing his 12M cap hit with 2X6M players or a 8M and a 4M player instead.

    If he is willing to sign a very decent extension @ around 9M. Then make him a Hab for life. Otherwise, fiscally signing one player to 15%-20% of your cap is not worth it. One single player cannot produce enough to justify his cost.

    Nice trade, really looks fair, but wouldn´t happen. Edmonton signed Talbot for a long contract. Now both goalie contracts would be between 12%-15% of the cap space. And this is to much money to spend. If Edmonton would accept the trade, Habs would have to take Talbot (IMO he is at the same level like Reimer).

    If Talbot is same level as Reimer, I would take him.

    Price is going to get HUGE money and while he is the best on the planet, Habs could, potentially, maybe, move him for a really good return. Doesn't have to be Edmonton, this is more of what it could potentially look like. (And I'd rather have Nurse.)

    Also notice that there is lots of cap room left for a trade deadline deal. Or to move Emelin and take a run at Okposo.
