The Boeser trade however is.... terrible.

Kreider is worth slightly more than Puljujarvi and a 1st.. asking for Bouchard is idiocy that will never be accepted and I'm not a fan of Yamamoto at all.. too small, he isn't the next debrincat.

Boeser has 55 goals and 111 points in 131 games, Buchnevich has 43 goals and 111 points in 179 games.. boeser has the clear advantage here and it's worth a prospect like Bear (considering we have fox, deangelo, trouba, shattenkirk and Lundkvist as RHDs) and a late 1st round pick

Although Namestnikov can be thrown away somewhere, Smith cannot be. I don’t think anyone will take his full salary.
Kreider trade is good. Boeser trade is also good. But it’s not gonna happen. I think Vancouver does what they need to do to move players around and make room for Boeser.

i mean, the purpose of not getting anything in return for Namestnikov is the assumption that that will be payment to buy out smith.

Yeah i thought both were pretty fair trades, and I'm a huge proponent of adding another high end right handed shot with all the good lefty prospects we have (Kravtsov, kakko, Chytil, Andersson, Howden, etc)
