Description

I've taken the Nashville trade from https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1275561 & mixed it with the Ottawa rumour. I've used the extra cap space to sign Ferland. With Marner gone it still leaves Tor with a very solid forward set up for the next 4-5 years with some grit added and two top end D for the next 3 plus years while the young core develops. If Grunland doesn't resign with Tor there's 5.7mil to spend on another D. It's very unlikely Tor trades Marner but if they had too I agree with Nik_SH its an interesting option if Nashville would take Ceci instead of Zaitsev.

Yeah but now that the NHL is looking for younger talent (which Marner is) they will pay a premium for it. I bet older guys like Marleau, Phaneuf and maybe even Thorton (but likely not) get phased out of the game and don’t get any offers
