So you are saying that the Marner gets offersheeted by the Canes, and then, instead of matching, the Leafs and Canes work out a deal? It would obviously need to include Pesce, so good on you for having him in there. I think it would need to include a 1st, and I would think the Leafs would want back their 2020 1st rounder. Then, I think the canes would need to include Nicholas Roy and Jake Bean.

I think if Carolina adds something else like a 2nd round pick I would be all over this, maybe even without it. Sets us up very nicely for the next 5-10 years and still lots of cap to spend on the wing
