Description

The Perry signing could potentially be for 2 years but I'd prefer 1. He had been struggling with knee issues the past few year which he finally had fixed. I imagine he comes back strong but not completely his old self.

Leafs get a very good offensive defenseman and a 3rd line forward for a player they may be struggling to resign or retain long term. IMO the Hawks are giving up too much here but I think this ensures a deal could get done.

Dach will probably get a chance early in the season. 9 game stint and if he performs he stays with the hawks. Otherwise the 13th forward spot can be filled by any number of options.

De Haan will slot into the spot with Murphy once healthy, shifting Maata to the third pairing. Same goes for the PK slots.

This team is VERY good all of the sudden. I think this team has a chance to make a decent playoff run. Tons of offensive potential and now a solid defensive back end.
