Vegas doesn't need to trade Clarkson his contract can be placed on LTIR during the off season, training camp, and through the year (three different formula calculations), in other words at all times as long as you have built up enough of a relief pool which Vegas has. It actually works against them to trade him, because other teams haven't built up their relief pool like Vegas has. They never would have traded for Stone and signed him without knowing this.

Remove the salary retention on Patches and change the pick without restrictions and they might be interested

Max is not worth an unprotected 1st round pick. He is on the wrong side of 30, has decreased production, and LVGK have no leverage in this situation with their cap situation. Hard pass on him altogether.

Stan Bowman seems hell bent on giving him every chance to make the roster out of camp suggesting that if he has any success in training camp/preseason, he'll be on the roster.
