If MTL wants Ghost

Flyers can get a better return than that. Shaw is a 3rd liner that had a career year, but due to his term and concussion history he's a risk to be 3.9m of dead cap space for a couple of years.

Ghost trade is horrible. he's a 50 point defenseman not a poop sock.

The Ghost's value is between the PHILLY fan value and the HABS value... Ghost will worth a lot more than Shaw or Byron ... but least than a TOP15 pick in the next draft... To be honnest his value should be Shaw,Ikonen and a 3rd or a 4th...

its interesting to see the value on ghost from post to post. the truth of the mater is though is that ghosts value is almost all his potential. Is he the 50+ dman he was that one year or is the the defensive liability that basically only gets offensive zone starts like he was last year?

in the end I think its somewhere in between. I think Philly would want a good defenceman to replace his minutes, probably a roster player to bolster their forward group and ideally a pick. What you have above is close but 15th overall isn't moving for him. I think a better prospect like Juulsen instead of Ikonen and Shaw would get the deal done and both sides would be happy

Not sure how that isn't a solid return? Removed the Philly 2nd to appease you... but a roster player that brings some needed grit, 15th overall, and a solid prospect who will be in the NHL next year is a pretty nice return.
