Now that it is officially the offseason (at least for Pittsburgh), it's time to make some fun CF teams. I plan on submitting a couple of these, and I am looking forward to your calm and respectful feedback :)

Yes, it is absolutely insane to think that these would happen in the real world, but that's what CapFriendly is here for! Me to make the world go mad and have some fun!
Soo I traded Malkin.. I hate it to be honest. But I have been sky high on Ekblad since day 1. I am sure he is untouchable, but I was doing this based on the assumption that they sign Bobrovsky & Panarin this offseason. Between Those two, Barkov & Dadonov, It might as well be Russia-East. Would be tough for it too work with them taking Maatta back as well, but basically I am just doing this for the sake of Penguins roster. Also, Malgin will be sick. Don't know his ceiling, but I like where his game is at. 1st rounder to compensate for cap jump as well.
Gudbranson was probably our best dman during the playoffs, but I hate the thought of having a bottom pairing dman making $4m. NJ has cap, and will have an awesome team in the next two years.
Horny goes back to Nashville (if they lose to Dallas). Expensive, but they will have some cap room with Simmer & Boyle off the roster. Penguins get Colton Sissons, who I really like. Might not keep up his current pace but would be a bottom 6 upgrade for sure.
Signing Duchene to cover the 2C part. Penguins wanted him from Colorado, but got outbid by Ottawa (makes sense). Not sure if he gets more than $7.5per, but let's pretend he had Penguin bedsheets when he was a kid..
Losing Jarry sucks but what are they going to do with him on a 1-way deal? DeSmith is cheap and effective, I have no problem with him taking the backup spot. Will suck if Murray or DeSmith get hurt, but such is life
Matt Duchene wants 7 x 9 and will easily get it on the open market, Florida is pursuing both Bobrovsky and Panarin. Doubt Tallon has any interest in Malkin. And is definitely not moving Ekblad for him.
*realizes the Sasha nickname is not just a russian nickname and that I am ignorant*
I am actually piecing it together that it is in fact a nickname for Aleksander and nothing to do with nationality... My co-worker (Sasha) real name is Aleksandra... This is quite the development
