Actually Ehrhoff was Buffalo's best defenseman while he was here. No Nothing Nolan messed up Hodgson who if you will remember the two years before NNN decided he was not Buffalo's best center, Cody was Buffalo's top scorer. Leino was a very unfortunate effort to take the place of not being able to sign Brad Richards (who ended up playing for the Rangers, he would have excelled playing between Pominville and Vanek).
I will never forgive the mess that DATM made while he was Buffalo's GM.
A second for Gorges (a fifth would be about right)?
A second and another second and McNabb for Deslauriers and Fasching (any one of those three pieces would have been too much)?
Getting nothing for Ehrhoff when he was offered a first, Mike Green and Tanner Pearson for Moulson and Ehrhoff?
Getting only a second for Stewart when he was offered 2 seconds by Chiarelli early in the year?
A first for Lehner who DATM must have known was an alcoholic before the trade?
He gave terrible contracts to Ennis, Moulson and Okposo.
As I said earlier he let Hodgson die in Buffalo when I am quite confident after the two previous seasons he could have returned a some sort of pick even if some salary had to be retained.
I am so happy DATM gone, he took a last place team with a great future and turned it into a last place team with no future. Nice job Tim.
