Description
Hoping the Wild go with more of a retool in the offseason instead of a rebuild. The values may be off.
At one time I have heard of Faulk may be moved, unsure if that is the case. We bring back a MN native thats a RH D thats been good on the PP in his career.
Rask gets dumped to Ottawa. Ottawa takes it to turn a 5th to a 3rd. This can be any team but this seems like the only possible way we could move Rask.
Panerin is unlikely to sign here but a Russian duo of Panerin and Kaprizov sounds pretty cool. Wild always lacked that big playmaker. Panerin could fill that role.
Nelson returns home and helps the center depth. Should be a 1C or 2C.
Faulk, Spurgeon, Koivu create over $15 mil in cap space alone to resign Kunin, Greenway, and whoever else we would need.

0 chance Panarin comes here, as much as I'd love it to happen. He wants to play in one of LA, NY, Chicago, or a Florida team.

I also think Rask is on our team next season. If he spent time working on his skating he could actually be a pretty solid player. He's a former 20g scorer after all. Fenton will want to see what he looks like after an offseason of training and go from there. If he's crap, look for him to be moved before next year's deadline.

Yes he is. But I no longer see him as a 1st line center. He would fit pretty good in a 3rd or 4th line center role, but the cap hit says otherwise. With his no trade clause he is going to be there next year and I just see the other centers being more productive.

Sadly I also know this. One can dream of a russian duo of Kaprizov and Panerin. I thought of maybe Duchene to fill that spot (Also unlikely but probably more likely). Also thought of bringing another MN native in with Anders Lee. He would be cheaper and probably could persuade him to return home. Even though I think he is more of a tier 2 FA in this class.

It is fun to dream. Of all the free agents I think Donskoi or Erik Karlsson make the most sense. I'm not a big fan of Duchene since losing has followed him everywhere he has gone in his career, even though he is a very skilled player. If that changes in Columbus, then maybe. Lee isn't a great fit since we already have 6 LW's on the roster.
