The Flames should be able to fill the roster using all current players, letting a few guys go (Smith), and rounding out the roster with the top players from Stockton. The only opening with question marks is the back up goalie position, here I have used Parsons to fill the gap, but if left open, would show just $1.8 million in cap space available to sign a backup.
This only works if Michael Stone is either moved, or put on LTIR. The assumption here is that his injury is career ending.
