Description

So some of us have been chatting today about why the leafs have been struggling. In my opinion they need to do the following
1) Put Nylander on the Tavares line when he has been with Tavares has been successful also Hyman and Nylander seem to understand eachother they have played well together for 3 years now.
3) A Johnsson/Kadri/Kapanen would be the best 2way checking line in the NHL the skate well, forecheck, and get in opponents faces they will drive the pens nuts.
4) Put Ozzy or Hainsey with Gardiner i picked ozzy cause both have great possesion numbers and Ozzy can cleanup Gardiners inevitable brain fart tonight. But hainsey would do as well seeing he is sound defensively and will know what to do when gardiner pinches.
5) Put Zaitsev and Dermott together both play a 2 way game but are selfless and smart enough to realize when the other is pinching the other needs to defend more something Gardiner hasn't figured out yet.

Ozhiganov in last 10 games was 2nd most consistent Dman on the Leafs from what Ive seen. Gardiner to LW with Kadri lol

I was thinking that too i was really going off his great possesion numbers this year but like i said i can live with either but overall i think this roster really puts all players with teamates that complements eachother. But they need to stop playing down to the other tesms level and just play their game.

There are three top 4 D on the team and neither Dermott or Zaitsev are one of them. One day Dermott will be but he isn't there yet.
