I don't think anyone actually looks at the inner workings of the scoring sheet but me - but if I'm wrong and people actually are looking at the background calculations, I have an update:

The score sheet does the arithmetic to subtract the YTD totals from the prior month from the YTD totals from the current month. From there, the monthly stats are looked up based on the team rosters (that change monthly). So for example, February stats are calculated as the stats thru Feb 28th minus the stats thru Jan 31st. However, since Corsica was down at the end of Februrary, Feb stats were collected from a variety of sources (and formatted to mirror the Corsica inputs so I didn't have to mess with the sheet).

When I pasted Corsica totals (site is up again) thru March into the sheet, I saw negative numbers on some counting stats during my QA... which is never good. This means that there was some disagreement between the running Corsica numbers and the numbers from Evolving-Hockey/OffsideReview. I spot checked a few players' stats, and I can't locate a simple correction to make. Since rosters change each month, I can't just take the sum of Feb and Mar stats and apply them to Mar rosters without there being a "loss of authenticity".

So, here is how I'm calculating Feb and Mar stats, since we don't have isolated Feb stats from Corsica (won't allow me to enter a date range to collect the data). The end-of-Jan stats will be subtracted from the end-of-season stats - all from Corsica. This will provide the stats for Feb+Mar (combined). From there, I will use half of the Feb+Mar totals as the Feb total to apply to Feb rosters (and in effect, the other half goes to Mar). It's not an exact replication of the season stats but it's the closest I can get without doing significantly more work. So you will see that Feb stats = Mar stats for each player, which isn't entirely accurate; but this will help account for players that changed teams between Feb and Mar.

Hopefully there is no confusion, or if there is, you'll just roll your eyes, mumble "this dude is a nerd" and move on with your real life. Nevertheless, you can DM me or @ me in the the discussion thread and I'll try to explain again ;).

p.s. I haven't published the final scoring/standings and won't do so until Monday, but I just wanted to share this in case someone opens up the sheet and sees the mess of formulas in the February data sheets.
