They played maybe around 6 games together and I'm not sure sure it was even that much. That's a small sample size with a reported chemistry between Ritchie and Kase and Kase hopefully fully healthy. Kase was banged up before he got to Boston (concussion).

I like Lauzon better then Moore but I still think Moore is the first guy off the bench when an injury hits and an injury will happen. He needs a game to get up to speed and the trade off isn't drastic.
I won't mind Studnicka in for Bjork. I like Bjork, skilled, but his game isn't shining through. Ritchie Krejci Kase, Debrusk Coyle Studnicka.

Why would they rest starters when they are playing for the same spot as the Bruins? I would expect both teams would rather play the NYI then the Whalercanes and to do that they need a win.

I can see Coyle and Ritchie together. For all the time Debrusk and Krejci have spent together I just don't see the chemistry. I don't think I've ever had a "wow, what a great play!" moment with those two together. Both talented in their own way, just don't see it.

DeBrusk-Krejci/Ritchie-Coyle or DeBrusk-Coyle/Ritchie-Kuraly.
IMO I would give a try to Ritchie-Coyle-Bjork and keep the 4th line together. Play Clifton a game maybe.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>Ritchie looked great? Did we watch different games last night? Outside of behind show to get up on most plays and a few hits, he did nothing.</div></div>
I guess I'm in the minority here in seeing a lot of good things Ritchie did last game that no one else on the Bruins can do. He makes room in the offensive zone and was very engaged in the physical aspects. Slow? Yes. Dumb penalty? Yes. Defensive liability? Yes. Late wandering hits? Yes. I still want him playing with Krejci. He wears guys down with his size, can handle the puck and makes space. Put Kase or Studnicka or Bjork or even Senyshen on RW. Kuhlman has been a good soldier but he isn't effective, his speed isn't enough.

Best-case, Studnicka is ready and you move Bjork to the left, Ritchie on the 4th but this is unlikely.</div></div>
Ya I'm not sure what Kases status is. He really screwed up his return to work and he's not the reigning rocket winner. My guess is Bjork but they also acquired him at the deadline and he's Pastas buddy. I'm am quite certain Kuhlman, Frederic and Senyshen won't be in the lineup.

Kuraly isn’t a RW. C? Natural. LW? Easy. Never played RW with any consistency that I can remember. I would be blown away if that’s the plan. Bjork has spent a whole bunch of time playing in the top six, and well. I don’t think he’s just going to get scratched all of a sudden.</div></div>
I get that Kuraly hasn't played much RW but the fact is he can't handle the Puck very well anyway. He needs to skate, hit, forecheck and stand in front of the opposing teams goalie. He could do that with golf club in his hand. That third line as projected will be tough to contain with their size.

He was scratched plenty before the shutdown after Ritchie and Kase were acquired. Kase may have given his spot away with how he handled his return to work.

This is the roster. It's been released. Make a contribution and tell me what you think it will be. In defense of the third line Cassidy has been running that almost all of camp. The only if I see is if Bjork or Studnicka get 2 RW because Kase hasn't skated. He wants all of Kuraly, Wagner, Nordstrom and Lindholm in the lineup for PK to ease Bergeron and Marchand back into it and not burn them out.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>Assuming it's two F, I would cut Carey first. He's great but a great AHLer.
Then, not sure who's the second one. We know what Kuhlman can bring, Studnicka is guaranteed, then you have Blidh who's an okay 4th liner but he may be one guy I would cut. Thought that they were going to place him on waivers when he was activated from SOIR in January but he stayed up so Cassidy probably likes him. Senyshyn can play well defensively and has some offensive upside so I would keep him. Frederic brings grit.</div></div>
They only need to cut one skater and I can't see it being a D. I would cut Blidh, Carey and Kuhlman before Senyshen, he just brings more.
Carey has been the Providence captain and the most veteran. Cassidy knows him and when he's played up the gave him second or third line opportunities kind of like Cameron Hughes. They might reward him for his efforts kind of the reason why Blidh is there. They've been good soldiers and put in the time and effort, just not seeing the desired results.
I don't see what Kuhlman brings that Senyshen doesn't. He's small, his hits aren't inspiring nor do they seem to wear anyone down and doesn't have good hands. He has speed and energy for days. Just seems like a poor version of Wagner and I like Wagner's contributions.

Big year for Blidh and Zboril. As mentioned waivers kicking in.
Me thinks Moore can be sent somewhere. Don’t think his contract is that bad.
Sucks that the cap had to flatten like that. Makes the lineup tighter for sure.
But 21’ will be a shortened season probably. That’s a lot for DeBrusk. Might go a bit lower.</div></div>
Don't see why they would move Lindholm. They could send him to Providence and not have any count towards the cap. Cassidy seems to trust him and I doubt he'd be claimed on waivers.
I don't see anything in Blidh. What does everyone else see that they have him in the lineup? Average speed, loves to hit, relatively high energy and no hands. I'd rather have Senyshen, Frederic or Gaunce in the lineup, they all have more upside.

Bruins like to carry 8 defenseman and Blidh isn't an NHLer. I believe they were doing him a favor by using him as a healthy scratch to reward him for being a good soldier in the AHL.
If Krug's AAV doesn't start with a 6 they let him walk, their internal contracts dictate that. They can't pay him much more (if at all) then Pasta and Marchand especially with a flat cap.
Likely 8th D being Zboril who finished the year strong, is a former 1st round pick and requires waivers.
Good job on this. Better then most Bruins fans.

Hypothetical 1 Bruins part ways with Krug
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nalzugaray12</b></div><div>Gotcha. Thanks for the overall feedback though. I'm actually really happy you noticed the Gaunce signing. He actually looked solid during that one game with Boston. Obviously it's a really small sample size, but I've read about how solid of a player he was for Providence. I think with them letting Nordstrom go, he could be a serious darkhorse for that 4th line spot.
In regards to Studnicka, I really think they want to give Bjork another look. He had an up and down season this year, but he overall improved his game this season. We want more out of him because he's shown flashes, but I think they'll give him one more chance next season. If he doesn't reach expectations, then you can start giving guys like Studnicka, Senyshyn, etc opportunities. It's just a tough situation because while this team lacks totally high end prospects, they have a ton of depth and that depth seems close to being ready</div></div>
Lots of moving parts. Depth at almost every position except RD. Really depends who shows up to training camp in shape and wants the spot the most. They have enough depth for six forward lines, four defense pairs and two starting goalies and not be terrible, nice problem to have. They will lose a good winger or LD to expansion but it won't even matter.

My understanding is that everyone from that draft class is fair game if they don't make the big club. Think Subban by Vegas for comparison. Didn't play many NHL games, didn't make it through waivers.
If you select a player such as Zboril there is a link that says "waivers exempt". Estimated waivers required beginning: 2020-21.

Hypothetical 1 Bruins part ways with Krug
This all looks pretty good. One of the best I've seen on here. Now my break down:
You are short on roster player and they almost always carry 8 defense.
Zboril and Senyshen both require waivers. I don't believe they will risk losing them for free. Senyshen gets Kuhlman's spot and Zboril is the 7/8 D.
Frederic won't be there opening night but will be first call up when injuries happen. He has one more year of waiver exemption and the Bruins will use it. Lindholm is very responsible.
Kühnhackl and Ebert are exactly the kind of moves this management team do. These two would be as good as any. Good job.
Tough spot if the Bruins sign Krug. They would have 10 NHL defenseman requiring waivers. In that scenario I see Kampfer and Clifton sent down.
I'll throw out one of my more controversial takes...... That the Bruins will resign B Ritchie and he'll start in the AHL. He's a big body and a RW with a decent skating ability he's a unicorn if he puts it together. Trading for his brother, who will need a new contract next summer and training hard together, we might just get some bash brothers for the bottom six.
I like that you resigned Gaunce, I think he still can be an NHLer its just that Boston loves their depth. Sweeneely didn't have depth when they played and it cost them. They are trying their best to give the current players that.
I don't think they can hold off Studnicka any longer. He will be on the team at some point. My only hesitations are he doesn't require waivers and they have very good centers. Bruins need him to play center, may take an injury but he will be with the big club by the end of the year with Frederic.

Looks pretty good. I few things I see.....
K Miller will get a cheap 1 year contract and may start in Providence.
Senyshen will be up before before Blidh because he needs to pass through waivers. Don't see Studnicka on the wing, management has stated he is a center. It's not right for merit but for protecting assets Senyshen will start on the big club and Stud will still need to dominate in Providence.
I could easily see Clifton start in Providence.
I agree, Chara isn't getting a raise.

Flat Cap and No CBO Bruins Edition Revision 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>Well, he's certainly worth more than $3M. Part of the reason " it is limited ", he plays on the third pair behind Chara and Krug on the LD. Also, on the second unit on special teams. But when given a top4 role, he plays like a top4 guy.
That could benefit the Bruins and they could use that to sign him for less but Grzelcyk can also use that against them. We'll see.</div></div>
He is indeed buried behind those two. He needs more offensive numbers to get that big contract. Look how long Krug had to wait with his contracts, sign a second bridge, bet on himself and he was getting lots of PP time and had great playoff runs. Grizz isn't getting those numbers, opportunities and has guys breathing down his neck and a possible multiple year flat cap. He's in tough, on another team he could get a pretty big contract, in Boston he's too far down the depth chart.
