if he wont commit to ott
Pinto talked enthusiastically about how much he loves being here, how he loves the group, and how he's hoping they get the deal done soon. Said he's going to Worlds even without a deal done, but he was hoping they'd have a deal done before it starts. He'll have a new contract before the Draft imo.

No thanks. When healthy Norris is a solid 200ft player. Laine is not

Philadelphia Flyers signed Ivan Fedotov (2 Years / $3,275,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>He's played 3 NHL games and has a .811 in them, what???</div></div>
From Anthony DiMarco :
<em>I know the Fedotov AAV is higher than expected, but the contract was agreed upon prior to the player coming over from Russia.
I'm told that the contract had to be a certain number to get Fedotov to come to North America.
Not ideal, but understandable given the circumstances.</em>

I believe, if you look at the ufas he added, they are just names from the Sabres past. If not, I'm not sure what he's going for.
Desimone, Kane, foligno, and gilbert were all born in buffalo.

I think Holtz has about the same value as Newhook, so this seems fair. Maybe add a third going to Montreal

This is essentially what we paid for Newhook (Holtz is now the same age as Newhook when the trade happened). Nehwook did have better past production though, so Holtz should be a bit less, maybe changing the 2nd to MIN 3rd

Vancouver Canucks signed Vasily Podkolzin (2 Years / $1,000,000 AAV)
Eh, barely more than league minimum; but, I wonder to what extent that are throwing a few extra $$$ in there just to keep him from bolting to the KHL.

God I hope the Canes pass I don’t want anything to do with that contract that’s 1.5 mill too much for 5 years longer than it should be.
And you’re right the difference isn't 2 2nds, it’s way more! Granlund is offensivly what you guys hoped JK would be! And not a 4th line overpaid problem.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>glarson17</b></div><div>A 2nd for Brannstrom and another 2nd plus for KK? Why?</div></div>
Branny is probably worth a 3rd in this case a very late 2nd. He’s actually a very good puck moving defenseman, his issue is he’s been paired or stuck behind 2-3 other defenseman who want to move the puck also. Defensively he’s actually been one of our better guys, and he’s more physical than Chych/Chabot despite being smaller. If a team needs an offensive puck moving D he’ll prob look much better in a better situation.

Top quality defensive RHD are so few and far between. The Kings have no one in the organization to take over his role after they traded away his heir apparent in Brock Faber.
I very much hope that Roy will consider a team-friendly extension, but there's absolutely no justification for him to accept anything less than Gavrikov's AAV, and the Kings can't afford to pay him that.

You're light by a beck level piece for Zegras.
And while it might make sense for MTL, it really doesn't for ANA.

Top NHL Prospects-- give me your thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JoeROFLCOPTER</b></div><div>Augustine too high, Cossa too low.
Big goalie guy, eh?</div></div>
yea I messed up putting goalies with skaters. My grading system isn't designed for this lol I've yet to find a way to compare them that I'm happy with, so maybe its a lesssont o keep skaters and goalies apart
Augustine is 3rd and Cossa is 11th.
My issues with Cossa stemmed from last season and the year prior where he straight up looked bad. Hes starting to look really good and is having a good year and some of those biases are still weighing on him. I think one more good season will solfiidy him in the top 6-8 or so for goalie prospects (top 5 once Wallstedt and Askarov graduate)
And I am In love with Augustine. As a draft eligible I had him in the first round as the far and away #1 goalie and he is making me look so smart. The 4 behind him are:
Sergei Ivanov
Jacob Fowler
Niklas Kokko
Alexei Kolosov
to me, he showed he was a level above Fowler at the WJC and Ivanov is great and will jump him in a season or so if he continues his production.

Alexander Nikishin should be top 6 or 7</div></div>
Nikishin is 6th for skaters so he's pretty high IMO. I love his game and he could easily be 4-5.
idk why I put goalies with skaters I should change how I do them
And yea Blake honestly should be higher but all of the guys ahead of him so are f----g good too. Really the top 75 is so stacked. Like the fact Nate Danielson is 82nd is just crazy

Also, where's Jackson Blake?</div></div>
no man I appreciate it. Basically as long as the person isn't like "why isn't blah blah blah top 50" when he is his teams 12th best prospect who has 2 goals in 50 CHL games.
Prospects are so hard to gauge and nobody really knows. I didn't like Cutter Guathier as a prospect and now he is one of my favorites, stuff changes all the time
Blake is 40th overall. 10th for RW. But RW is the best position for prospect rn
