swap that package for Pettersson + Demko if you want NJ to remotely consider moving Jack.

I do not think that would return Severson.
Devils want to keep him.
Liljegren, Knies, pick....or similar

TDL no playoffs
Laughable trade
Mercer is producing at the same rate as Boeser with less ice time and being 5 years younger
Zacha is by far better than Dickinson. Zacha literally has 4x as many point
And you want Holtz on top of that???
Devils counter with PK Subban for Quinn Hughes

I'll just assume the Devils trade is a troll post.

That's fair. I don't watch the NJD enough to know his value. But after looking at his draft position/stats so far... I'd imagine you value him like a top 8 drafted prospect. In which case, one-for-one would've been good. Garly's contract is very good, there's a chance we'll offload him to a team for a first-round prospect, a first ++

What happened to Samsonov? Either way he's still young enough and has great potential. I wouldn't give up on him yet, especially for players like that. Eller is probably better than Zacha. Johnsson might be the most intriguing player there. Would make them faster

Long-term Cap outlook with Boeser
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Smith: $1m to $1.5m bridge deal. Maybe a bit more if he bounces back.
Siegs: anywhere from $4m to $6m depending on term
Sevs: Around $6-7m for 5-6 years.
Graves: Likely walks (or is dealt) and gets $3.5m to $4.5m for ~4 years elsewhere.
Walsh arrives once Subban is gone and takes that spot.
Luke arrives in April 2023, stays for good.
Mukhamadullin arrives in Utica in Oct 2023, works his way into lineup.
Bahl and/or Okhotiuk become 7th d-man...or trade chips.
2022-23
Siegenthaler -- Hamilton
Smith -- Severson
Graves -- Walsh
2023-24
Siegenthaler* -- Hamilton
Hughes -- Severson*
Bahl/Muk/Smith*/Walsh
(*on new deal)
Great thing we have is flexibility since Hughes has played mostly RD over last two years, Mukhamadullin plays mostly RD, Smith can play RD, and Bahl/Okhotiuk have both player RD some in AHL.</div></div>
I'd be surprised if Siegs made more than 4M but yeah, otherwise this looks reasonable.

Maybe I haven't followed him as much, but what's with all the trade rumors and news regarding Samsonov? Isn't he supposed to be one of the top 5 young goalies in the league? From a NJ perspective I'd do that deal, Just wondering whats up with Samsonov.

It’s a reasonable price in Subban I think. I could see him getting anywhere from a 1st to a 4th depending on how much $ is retained and what RD market looks like.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>glarson17</b></div><div>I don’t see how you can trade for Quinn Hughes and somehow keep Mercer, Holtz, Walsh and basically all your good prospects</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>Holtz/Mercer, Smith, and an unprotected 1st minimum for Hughes</div></div>
I doubt we would be trading for Quinn. We have Luke coming (and Mukhamadulin, Okhotiuk, Bahl, Edwards).
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>That’s a whole lot of effort put into the explanation just to make a horrendous trade and scam the Canucks. Kinda wasted your time there buddy</div></div>
The Boeser deal looks good. Maybe swap Boqvist out for RD prospect or something. And I still don't think we leave town without an extra contract attached to deal (Dickinson, Poolman, Pearson...whoever fits as a salary tack-on).
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>Canucks decline both. Zacha, Walsh, and a protected 1st for Boeser. </div></div>
It is not far off for Boeser. If we were a playoff team, sure, the late 1st could be in there. Would look like this
Pavel Zacha
Reilly Walsh
2022 #26 overall pick
But we are near the bottom, so I am guessing if a trade were to be made, it would look like this with our 2nd:
Pavel Zacha
Reilly Walsh
2022 #36 overall pick
....for Boeser+Poolman
And keep in mind this package is more than Buffalo got for Reinhart, more than NY Rangers got for Buchnevich, more than Nashville got for Arvidsson

If anything happens, thats my guess. Zacha+Smith likely means something comes back to NJ unless an extension is agreed upon.

Boeser To NJ
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sedin33</b></div><div>He’s already said he wants to stay so your point is moot</div></div>
If course he would. He wants a long-term contract offer. He is not going to say, “not sure I want to be here, but pay me”.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sedin33</b></div><div>Sorry but your pov is comical. Everybody knew Reinhart wanted out. Did that help his trade value? Of course not. Teams are calling about Canucks players, not the other way around.</div></div>
I believe the Reinhart and Buchnevich comps are fitting ones.
If Canucks fans want to use a more favorable one, than Max Pacioretty deal to Vegas is probably what I’d use. Habs got an NHLer (Tatar) a B/B+ prospect (who turned out pretty well) and a 2nd round pick.
But all in that same range.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sedin33</b></div><div>What did NJ get for Coleman?</div></div>
Why are you comparing Coleman and Boeser?
Everyone knows Tampa overpaid for Coleman because Coleman had a fantastic contract. Same thing that's going to happen to Hagel this year.
Buchnevich got traded for a 2nd and Blais
That means Boeser for a 2nd and Zacha
Use your brain lmao

Take out the 1st. Our 2nd is close to a 1st (#37), so that along with prospect and Zacha should do the trick.
