Shannon thew out the Islanders but I think they would have to move someone to make the cap hit work. (i think, maybe?)
4- Ottawa. They have the cap and need to hit the cap floor. They have a nice stock pile of picks so losing 4 firsts wouldn't hurt too bad I think. But its Ottawa...
3 - Winnipeg. Cap space. But Laine needs a new contract, so eh.
2 - New Jersey- They are above cap floor but still have a ton of cap. Hall and Marner and anyone, that line might work.
1 - Colorado. below cap floor and made some moves a lot of y'all said looked weird. Avalanche are my pick. Mostly cause I don't want it to be the devils or anyone in the Metro thats not Philly.</div></div>
Ottawa has lots of picks but losing those 4 1sts would be pretty horrible for them.

Thats funny I watch The Hockey Guy too mostly for his jerseys... I like Tara Fitzgeral she runs "The Glove Drop" on Youtube/Web and FB... She is a Rangers fan though who don't make enough daily videos to get to 100K where she belongs yet :). Keep an eye on her, I think she took some of the advice I gave her. Islanders were ready to pay Panarin about that same amt of money so I think they would have the cap room for it off hand :). I"d be shocked to see Jersey, Jets, or Senators even Avalanche sign him personally... I could see CBJ or Islanders since they might have enough cap space among a few others...

Marner Offer Sheet?
I'm hearing from my sources that Marner may or may not be offer sheeted. It might happen today, but it might not. If it doesn't happen today, then it might happen tomorrow, but it might not. If it doesn't happen today or tomorrow, then it might happen eventually. But it also might not. If he does get offer sheeted i am hearing it will be somewhere from the league minimum to the league maximum cap hit, for somewhere from 1 year to the maximum allowed. I'm also hearing that if he is offer sheeted, it will be by one of these teams: Anaheim, Arizona, Boston, Buffalo, Calgary, Carolina, Chicago, Colorado, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edmonton, Florida, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Montreal, Nashville, New Jersey, NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Jose, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Vancouver, Vegas, Washington, and Winnipeg. So, he might be offer sheeted, but he might not. If it happens, it may or may not be today. That's what i'm hearing from my sources.

As a Flyers fan I say no to the EDM trade. JPs value is pretty low right now with lack of productivity as well as demanding a trade , forcing their hand. That and i just really can’t wait to see Ratcliffe in the NHL. He has a unique blend of size speed and skill that doesn’t come along everyday

This is the price you have to pay for a 2nd line center. It is probably a year or two too long and about 500k-750k too much, but it's better than the front office sitting on their hands waiting for the prospects to grow and become relevant. This team has a window now and this signing improves their chances. If you spend too much time looking for the long term, you never look at the short term. Hayes is a solid all-around player that will slot in well alongside players like Jake Voracek, Oskar Lindblom, and James vanRiemsdyk. No Flyer fan is going to loose sleep over this contract if he helps us go deep into the playoffs.

Whether a player is "smart enough" to fight or not is irreverent. Their grown men and makes their own choices. If a guy whose never has fought wants to drop his gloves and go with one of the NHL's heavyweights, then so be it that his choice.

Stability. The thing the Flyers haven't had in years. Talbot is a healthy guy, hes a reasonable goalie. Hart can't be making 60+ starts. What if he has a softmore slump or gets hurt? Talbot can be relied upon to pick up the slack. Paying less that $4m for 2 goalies is laughably cheap. We need to learn to not cut corners in net again!
Edit: The only team spending less than $4m on goalies who don't have a big earner on LITR is Buffalo.

(BUF/PHI) - Bailey for Leier
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>Holy s**t, another blockbuster from Fletcher...bunch of worthless trades is all this guy knows how to do. Well that and sign guys to super long contracts for a bunch of money. At least the NHL saw that nonsense and put a stop to it.
Why do I feel like we have a 8 year x $8.5 mil contract coming to Simmonds?</div></div>
Comments like this annoy me to no end. Why do you think that trading a depth guy for another depth guy is worthless? Bailey is relatively young and from what I heard from the Sabres fans, he has been pretty solid when called up, but never got a fair shot. And even if he doesn't get to play for the Flyers, LHV has been struggling in the last couple of weeks and he improves them.
Your evaluation of Fletcher is just inaccurate as he made several very good trades over his career. The Parise and especially the Suter contracts are not that bad, he just got unlucky with Parise's injuries.
Seriously, what do you want him to do? Trade Giroux? Provorov? Gostisbehere? Trade Voracek just to get rid of his contract? Come on. The Simmonds trade is coming.

Should we be worried about Nolan Patrick
Not worried. His entire career has been under Hakstol's idiotic high low offensive system. I'd look for him to put together a nice second half. He is so young it's premature to discuss whether he's a bust. It's your impatience to suggest it. Prime age for forwards is mid 20s. You can judge him as a bust or not then.
