Probably not. He's not even getting top 4 minutes on PIT right now with a weaker top 4 than NSH -- plus he's barely playing any special teams.</div></div>

The top two teams this year (Caps/Panthers) both also have guys making ~4M to play 16 minutes on their third pairing this year

But we can agree to disagree on fit, was more looking from a value perspective on 1st + top prospect + roster player for Forsberg

Chicago is also stuck in this scenario whereas Pens don’t ‘need’ Fleury

Vegas doesn’t face any cap regardless…

Based off of that Jones deal I’m sure Hextall wouldn’t be worried about any ‘hardball’ either

Pittsburgh’s core has won without him

Colorado hasn’t even won with him

Just weird to judge his willingness to sign based on a perceived ‘contender’ gap that I don’t see as that substantial, both teams will be in the playoffs next year

Pens core with Landeskog is every bit the contender the Avs core is without him, at least in the short term

By definition this also assumes he leaves, how many similar contenders even have the space
