<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>papishark</b></div><div>Hertl is easily a PPG player on a good team and healthy. People just don’t understand that</div></div>

I understand fans of other teams who don’t see Sharks games often wouldn’t understand how good Hertl is. Tomas has really only had one season where he wasn’t rehabbing an injury and in that season he was dominant. 74 pts in 79 games and 15 points in 19 playoff games-This is the Hertl people are overlooking but this is what a healthy Hertl will do. Trading him for futures who may or may not pan out does nothing but signal a rebuild and Wilson is not a rebuild GM, never has been since 2003.

To whomever said Wilson was on the hot seat with ownership, you are mistaken. Wilson is one of the longest tenured GMs left and has made nearly countless incredible trades and signings that continuously put a SJ on the map not to mention he has a very strong relationship with Hasso. He signed Vlasic and Burns to high priced contracts as well as Karlsson but those players would have earned that money elsewhere if Wilson didn’t do it. All three could very easily have bounce back seasons next year and anyone adamantly rejecting that has probably just become a hockey fan this season. Seriously. Everytime the sharks fail to meet expectations it’s Trade this guy, buy out that guy, fire the gm, burn it all down and then the next season they come back stronger than ever...I’ve seen it happen many times since 2003.
