<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>Did I say he's bad?
Sens have a bunch of young centres who need NHL jobs, and they're almost guaranteed to be getting a future 1C in the upcoming draft. There just isn't room for him without moving at least two of Brown, White or Norris, which makes no sense for where the Sens are in their rebuild. Even if they were to add Backlund, the Sens will be bad for at least another year or two, and by then you're expecting your young Cs to be ready to fully take over anyway.</div></div>
Putting young players in opportunities to get caved in by opponents for the sake of playing them is poor asset management. If you want your young guys to get better you need to give them mentors and line-mates that can carry them from time to time. Guys that can sit on the bench and point out examples from their last shift etc...

In honestly I think:
the NJ trade is a trade too rich for NJ
The CBJ trade we would add not them

Exactly!!! Why the hell would you want to surround your young talent with a team leader who is a premier shutdown 2 way center Who averages 20 goals and 50pts per year and has a history of mentoring young guys. That would just be silly.

Doesn’t mean the flames want a $2.5 mill player who can’t crack the roster on the isles

calgary fans would you
Flames fan here. Like many players on teams that are not yours his value gets white washed by quick stats. The reality is Nylander was mismanaged by Babcock. He was not given opportunities that he should have been. Under Keefe he started to show what he’s actually capable of. Nylander should be a 75-80 pt winger with goal scoring potential.
To be honest I would prob take everything else out of the trade and look at it one for one. Andersson is the type of defencman Toronto needs. He’s young, on a great contract and has proven he can go against some of the toughest competition in the nhl and lock them down while still contributing some offence. I think the flames consider it with our need for a legit top 6 Rw as well as need for additional scoring.
If we can re-sign Brodie it would lessen the loss of Andersson and Brodie is still only 30. Having Nylander will also give the flames options to move Lindholm to C or have a 1-2 punch of Lindholm / Nylander as our top 2 RW

As a flames fan I’d take this and run, however the reality is You can take out lucic and this still doesn’t get us kane. Adding lucic hurts the value even more. Chicago passes easily

Any good
Ya let’s trade our perennial 75+ pt a year all star For a perennial 40 pt player who can’t anchor a line......que the “ya well Gaudreau only has 2 years left and will 100% leave for Philly so his value today is really no better then a 6th so flames should be lucky we are offering this”

What’s with palmieri? This is like the 5th trade where it’s him for some superstar like eichle, marner Gaudreau etc...I don’t understand why his value is being shopped so insanely high by NJ fans

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurnEmUp</b></div><div>I dunno, I'd consider it. Tuch took a step back this year but hes a young cost controlled BIG power forward who put up 0.7 point per game last season. He's also signed long term and shoots right which fits a need for the Flames. Plus Hague is breaking into the league now and looks like at worst a solid bottom pairing guy with top 4 potential. Flames would need be sure they can add another top 4 Dman via free agency though, and ideally he'd play the right side. Someone like Vatanen would fit the bill nicely.
Of course, the biggest thing is that the Flames would need to know exactly why Tuch took a step back this season, and be pretty confident he could get back on track.</div></div>
It’s a lot of question marks. Our defence isn’t what it once was. If we are trading one of our top 4 young guys I’d want more of a sure thing.

Flames pass. Hanifin is a young cost controlled defenceman with a lot of potential. Not enough coming back. Ask what you would want for Shea Theodore. Not saying they are 100% equal but that’s the ballpark flames are looking

Eichel and Hall
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jdfitz77</b></div><div>U really think Monahan & a 1st next year get it done?
Bc Bennett & Parsons have zero trade value when you’re talking about a player on Eichel’s level
More like Monahan, Tkachuk, Lindholm, 2020 1st
for Eichel & maybe another piece
Probably seems like a lot,
but you’re gonna have to outbid MANY teams to get him
And it’s gonna take high quality pieces u won’t wanna part with</div></div>
Eichle is not worth Tkachuk, Monahan Lindholm and a 1st. Give your head a shake. Flames wouldn’t trade Tkachuk for eichle. Not a knock on eichle or saying Tkachuk is the better player, but Tkachuks interchangeables are built for our team. He fits our needs like a glove. If flames were to offer Tkachuk Flames would add but it wouldn’t be a huge add like your suggesting It would be a mid tier prospect / pick

Lundqvist Idea to CGY
First: lundqvist won’t waive to come to calgary
And if he did:
Second: why would the flames trade Bennett for one season of a 38 year old. Yes Bennett hasn’t lived up to his draft pedigree but he’s still a very serviceable player for the flames

Flames reject that EASILY. A young proven C (monahan) who has not scored less than 20 goals a season since he entered the league (that’s right 7 straight seasons) for a young Unproven C who has struggled immensely And has not been able to transition his success to the pros? Come on give your head a shake

Sorry been away for a few days.
Flames take this in a second. Toronto does not. Philly trade is prob close. You’ll get the Philly trolls Saying “we will get him for free in 2 years” or that frost is the second coming of mcdavid but I think the value is fair
