Depending on the website the league is based on and/or the rules of the specific league, the high shots against Andersen might outweigh the goals against. You're probably right about Zadina though (barring a mid-season call-up).

Jack Hughes?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>No that doesn’t show that you couldn’t reach an agreement. Rfa rights are often traded, sometimes unsigned players rights too. Nylanders value has nothing to do with wether or not we sign him. We have control for 5 years. When we trade him you have his rfa rights.... and this deal works either way. But really negotiate with nylander for you? *facepalm* you have no idea what you are talking about.
I actually thought this would be a decent thread to put up trade ideas for the pick. And your “generational” centre is an elite centre. Will he be the best player in the nhl in 3 years I have my doubts.
The idea has nothing to do with how nylander is signed or it’s just his rights. But expecting to get something worth jack Hughes for a “chance” to draft him is just insane.</div></div>
Jack Hughes isn't generational? Last season, he put up 1 less point than Auston Matthews in a single USDP season while being A YEAR YOUNGER. If not generational, he's at least on the same level if not better than Matthews.
At the age of 16, the next youngest single season point total was from Clayton Keller <strong>with 34 less points</strong>.
And my first reply was about what you would need to give up in order to get the pick, so don't act so anguished that this thread isn't flooding with people offering ways for the Leafs to waltz their way into another 1st overall.
With all that said, here's a question: Would you have traded Toronto's 2016 1st round draft pick before the start of the 2015-16 season in exchange for the signing rights of Jonathan Huberdeau and the Panthers' 1st round pick?

Jack Hughes?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>This is not my agm... literally everything you have said here is wrong.... nylander on a bridge deal is better than rfa rights? This is just ridiculous. Rfa rights are better because the avs would negotiate terms that fit their sutuation. Maybe you want him on a bridge maybe 8 years is better.</div></div>
Everything I said is wrong? I made one error: mixing up the author of the AGM with the person passionately defending it.
First, this isn't your AGM (that's on me), but the person who made this AGM thinks that this pick is going to be a top 5 pick at least, and made a trade accordingly. The person who made the trade made the trade with the assumption that this pick will become Jack Hughes or at least a top 5 pick. You're arguing an argument about convictions that the AGM author doesn't share.
Second (though even full value Nylander isn't enough for this trade, so I don't know why I'm arguing this point at all), the ability to negotiate "terms that fit their situation" isn't the point. It isn't doing the receiving team any favors by not having a contract in place. It just shows that you couldn't reach a deal in the first place, which just lowers the value of Nylander as a trade piece. If you want to be a true Samaritan who is in control of the situation, you'd negotiate whatever contract deal it is that Colorado wants in place for Nylander before trading him to Colorado, instead of having Colorado gamble on whether or not Nylander will want to meet Sakic's demands.
But even then, again, Nylander + a late 1st + a late 2nd + a late 3rd isn't enough to get (what the AGM author believes will be) the pick that will turn into a generational center.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>His rights are better than trading him after he is signed... he is an rfa and you own his rights for 5 years minimum. We have 13m in cap space so signing him isn’t the issue. This would be about fitting him into the long term plan.
Who said that Ottawa’s pick is a top 5? No garuntees. Like I said it’s a lottery ticket. Yes it has good odds but nothing is for sure. What Toronto would be offering is for sure.
Unfortunately in forums like this a lot of people let their emotions get carried away, this is a business.... buying lottery tickets isn’t a good business practice.</div></div>
Because he is an RFA for another 5 years, you could easily sign him to a bridge deal and retain his signing rights when the bridge deal is up, so again in the case of contract versus no contract, having a contract is the more valuable option. Also, how is fitting him into the long term plan the issue unless he doesn't want to be in it? You said it yourself, you have 13 million in cap space. Getting him signed to any contract, especially long term, shouldn't be a worry unless he specifically doesn't want to be in your long term plan. And if he doesn't want to be in your long term plan, then you're back at that issue of having his trade value lowered.
And what do you mean "who said that Ottawa's pick is a top 5?" You literally titled this scenario "Jack Hughes?" instead of "Top 10 pick maybe?", so you've already on some level acknowledged just how bad Ottawa's team is and how that pick is likely a top 5 pick at the latest.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>Sakic would be crazy to not jump on this deal. The 7th and prospects are kind of dumb and don’t fit your needs. But a 1st 2nd and a 3rd plus William nylander for a lottery ticket? I don’t think that is a deal that any gm could pass up.</div></div>
First, Nylander's value instantly goes down if your just trading his rights because if you're doing that it means you weren't able to sign him in the first place. Second, even with Nylander('s rights), a pick in the 20/30 range, a pick in the 50/60 range, and a pick in the 80/90 range isn't worth a top 5 pick, especially in a draft with a top 5 lineup like the 2019 draft.

Literally 0% that you'll get that pick unless you're giving up Auston Matthews and at least one 1st round pick.
And why is Auston Matthews on the 3rd line?

New York doesn't give Lundqvist up for a lateral-at-best goalie change (and I sincerely doubt Lundqvist waives his NMC in the first place). Also, where did you get Nylander from and how did you sign him for under $5,000,000 (and the audacity to put him on the fourth line)? You're overvaluing Hauge too...
