I mean its obviously not how it would go down IF it were to happen, but those Marlies players are actually having great seasons being top 10 in team scoring, they do have value that CHI and ARZ needs and would appreciate going back their way, hence why I added them all in 💁♂️

I mean as dumb as it is, those would likely be the asking prices based on how Dubas previously set a precedent with the likes of Clifford and Foligno years prior, that's even the asking price Seattle is giving for a Giordano trade. the guys 38 and they want a 1st for his rental 🤡💀 thanks Kyle 👍

its possible, I don't know the rules or logistics though if he's technically no longer injured as the end of the season approaches, like do the Leafs get fined if he's not just a healthy scratch at that point and such, etc. 🤷🏻♂️ we'll just have to wait and see though. I don't even expect Muzzin to be a Leaf come this summer if they do actually get Chychrun next Monday, need to make cap room for Campbell and other extensions.

respectfully disagree, the bottom six did show up for the most part, its the top six that were no shows and full on embarrassments LOL

I would gladly trade Marner for all those picks before ever thinking about trading Matthews tbh

Has there been an official report saying that that's Dunn's asking price? hmm, and probably yea lol I was just going based off previous cap hits and what stats were last season, potential raises, overpayment is very common in FA ofcourse, this year most of all haha

Rielly OUT Tatar and picks IN
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MisstheWhalers</b></div><div>I know it's a "fantasy" lineup but I think Rielly is staying a Leaf long term, even if Sandin has a good year I don't think they let Rielly go.</div></div>
I feel like if they're to extend Rielly it would be done by now, the fact it hasn't happened already goes to show the extent of the Leafs cap issues, plus I know the numbers say otherwise but to me he has passed his peak, I thought Ceci was bringing him down in 19-20 but after getting Brodie it goes to show that he's just not gonna be as good as years pass, he jumps up on plays too much which is very risky, the Leafs have forwards for breakouts, super unnecessary on Rielly to do that, so instead of him leaving for nothing in free agency, why not at bare minimum get assets in draft picks for him right? that's just me it seems though lol

bit more optimistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>I’m fairly confident that a fourth and fifth round pick isn’t gonna fetch you anything…</div></div>
you say that now but there have been some crazy steals in the fourth and fifth rounds of drafts over the past decade, heck even as far back as 20 years lol, most might be forwards sure but there's no denying that a lot teams can really have a blind eye on a lot of players talent/potential. Benn, Klingberg, Hellebuyck, Calvert, Hyman, Mrazek, Gallagher, Kerfoot, Colin Miller, Ben Hutton, Lindblom, Conor Garland, Ethan Bear, Sebastian Aho, Keith Yandle, Alec Martinez, Reimer, Holtby, Mattias Ekholm, Grubauer, Johnny Gaudreau, Jacob Slavin, Viktor Arvidson, Denis Malgin, Victor Mete, are all just some of the great steals there have been, with how deep the last few draft years have been, there's bound to be some great talent a lot of teams can snag, especially on the defensive end

I say this with all due respect, cuz at the end of the day this is for fun to me and just putting out what I wish can happen. Ritchie had 26pts over the course of 56gms this past season. on an 82gm pace that's roughly 38pts if my math is correct. and he's just 25. in the current market I honestly find 3.5AAV over 3 to 5yrs to be a steal. How the Bruins haven't signed him to something like that already is beyond me and the Leafs would be missing out considering they desperately need LW depth. so why not go for a young guy as opposed to someone older like Neal right? as for Rielly, I made that trade mostly for the picks considering Dubas has incredibly just given Leafs picks away like nothing. and PK is on the final year of his deal, convince NJ to retain half that (because of the incredible amount of cap room they have, another reason I made this trade with them and not some other team), Leafs keep the younger LD in Dermott, dump Rielly's contract, Devils get to have a decent D to pair with Dougie should Morgan wanna re-sign there, we could re-sign PK to a 3x3 and put him on the second/third pair as years pass, at least we have a RHD that can skate, hit, and shoot. also saves money for next year when Spezza retires, Mikheyev probably walks tbh, and they'd put that money towards Campbell, Sandin, and Liljegren. they can then use those picks to actually try and get good RHD in the next draft in most rounds, not just anyone with a soo connection lol, so yea, there's my why I made those moves. like I said, I really just look for creative options and have fun with it, this probably one of the better and more realistic leafs rosters Ive made in quite a while. at least this one looks as if they can maybe pass the first round if Marner and Matthews decide to show up lmao. heck I'm sure I along with most people here even made far better rosters than what the Kraken decided to pull last week lol

Soup and Derm signed Holl 4 Weegar
Weegar's name keeps getting thrown around so I thought I'd play with this on how I think it can go but I honestly don't think it'll happen this way or any way in real life, if it does though then with a (again unlikely but still good opportunity to do so) Kessel salary dump on top of that, there would be another 200k after a Weegar signing that could go to Mikheyev but also don't think that'll happen with him going to arbitration now
