I wouldn’t hate it from the cbj side. Better than the chych price tag.

Georgiev
1) Forget going after Georgiev, go after Vitek Vanecek instead.
Vanecek is A) Younger, B) Better, and C) Will be cheaper to re-sign.
2) Why are we giving up Addison for Sam freaking Bennett? That's an overpay, use one of the various LHD prospects we have like Hunt instead.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kado777</b></div><div>If I were guessing now, I would say Dumba would sign a 6m by 6 year extension. If this was agreed on before hand, is there any deal that you would do where the Wild could give up Dumba and pick(s) for #7 overall?</div></div>
A 6x6 extension would definitely peak my interest. I'm not sure what the deal would look like but I'm sure something could be structured around Dumba and #7.

Wild Trade Candidates for 2022-23
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IcemanJoe</b></div><div>All indications are they’re not re-signing Dumba so a trade now or at the deadline seems likely. Fan value on Dumba seems much great than actual value for Dumba. BG has tried to trade Dumba for over 2 years and hasn’t found a taker.</div></div>
I think Dumba brings some great qualities to the Wild. I just don't think it's worked here and a new environment might do the trick. This whole roster has underachieved and Dumba has been here for the entire ride. Brodin is another. Spurgeon is another. Those 3 have been around for the Parise and Suter era and not being able to get it done. That's half our D-core and they have all shown break downs at different times in the playoffs. We need some new and fresh blood on the back end and we have some great prospects coming up. I want to see what Addison can do in a season. He's played well for us in his short stints. Lambos has developed really well and has some great upside on the left side. I don't like log jamming the left side up with long term deals. Brodin is on a 6 year deal. They have Merrill on a 3 year deal and soon to be signing Middleton. A Dumba move allows the core to retool over the cap hell years. Addison deserves a shot. If he doesn't turn out to be the guy we think he can be, we have Faber and can trade Addison. But Addison deserves a shot.

Wild Trade Candidates for 2022-23
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>I wouldn't move Dumba until either Addison or Faber show they are legit. Jost would be someone the Oilers or Kraken would want imo, maybe even Montreal.</div></div>
My only issue with waiting on Addison or Faber is that could result in dumba leaving in FA if you wait too long. i think Faber is sound enough defensively that he is probably a safe bet to be at worst a low end 3rd line rd. I also think with how deep the Wild are at D prospect, they could get away with one of the LD prospects and playing Goligoski or Kulikov on the right side if it comes down to it. I think its easier for them to make something work than it would be to try to milk it out for too long, but I understand your thought on it.

GM Game
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>C21</b></div><div>Serious question, what in the actual f*** is this?</div></div>
It looks like it's for one of the GM games on here where each team has it's own GM. The team build and trades looks like someone new to a fantasy sports league and doesn't quite understand how it all works. So they get eaten up by the vets in the league until they figure things out.

Wild basically lose every trade. While the value with Scheif is fair, they wouldn't move Boldy. Underselling Zucc big time, Pittsburgh with a literal robbery, NY and Carolina also win those deals tbh

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IcemanJoe</b></div><div>I bet MN would consider this if they moved Dumba out first. We have to clear cap space first.</div></div>
I wouldn’t mind this at all. I think they could make it work without trading Dumba too. They could sign Strome to a 1 year deal because he doesn’t become an UFA until 2024, wait until the trade deadline and if Strome seems like a longterm fit, sell Dumba and retain half of his cap at the deadline to a contender, or if the Wild are a contender they can ride out the season, but risk Dumba walking. If Strome doesn’t seem like a fit, sell Strome next offseason and resign Dumba. If Strome absolutely goes off and is looking at a bigger contract, they get to decide if they want to sell Strome for a haul or sell Dumba/let Dumba walk and move someone else (maybe Greenway, and put Duhaime in his spot?).
I just see so many opportunities where the Wild could benefit from this kind of trade.

Dream Team I know some are unrealistic - Minny fans looking at you
Welcome to CapFriendly!
As a newcomer, you're unaware of the thousands of discussions that have occurred over the Muzzin-to-Los-Angeles idea. Here are the basic points:
(1) No one can ever properly explain why Muzzin would waive his absolute NTC to leave home and play for a team with a lesser chance to win the Stanley Cup one more time before retirement.
(2) Muzzin's cap hit is a particularly bad inroad into Los Angeles' explicitly-expressed overall off-season strategy, which is to acquire a young #1LD with term; Muzzin is none of the three.
(3) At this point, Muzzin's on-ice value (without respect to Cap hit or retention), considering his last regular season and injury history, probably isn't a second-round pick when adjusted for risk.
(4) Los Angeles can probably re-sign Alex Edler, or acquire a similarly-talented free agent, who will be cheaper than Muzzin both in cap hit and cost to acquire (specifically, none) and provide the same level of performance.
Keep trying and don't be discouraged. The greater the venom expressed in contrary opinions, the less likely that the responder is to be right.

I don't see why we'd even trade him unless we get an offer we couldn't refuse. He should be pretty cheap for a top 4 D and if Dumba walks in free agency we're looking at a top 4 of Brodin, Spurgeon, Goligoski/Kulikov, and Addison :shakehead

Moving Forward
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IcemanJoe</b></div><div>What is “a bit more”? A 2023 protected first?</div></div>
I am honestly not sure. The Toews trade is a complete fleece job done by the Avalanche but then you look at deals like the Risto trade to Philly, and consensus (224-10 according to the trade poll) would say Philly got fleeced.
I tried looking at other comparables but there just aren't many. You have the Jones trade, but Jones is a higher profile, has a higher ceiling in my opinion, than Dumba. And on the low end there is the Ryan Ellis, trade where none of the players involved played much this year (Ellis - 4gp, Myers - 27gp, Patrick 0gp for Preds, Glass 8gp).
So to answer your question, maybe a low end prospect, 3rd round pick value? It's hard to gauge a value on Dumba, although Ottawa is a good dance partner as there is a gaping hole on the top 4 RD.

I'm not all that convinced personally. He hasn't looked like anything special when we've played the Devils. He also played a lot on the wing this year
