David Pagnotta rumours
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>njlaf705</b></div><div>Copp is a huge upgrade on Kerfoot. Copp can play PP and PK, centre and wing, and he plays great anywhere in the lineup even on a top line.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>Yikes</div></div>
This year
One has 47 GP and 28 pts and 31 blocks and 33 hits 120 pp minutes and 118 pk minutes
The other has 50 GP and 34 pts and 35 blocks and 42 hits 4.6 minutes 92.4 pk minutes
Same order last 3 years
The first 165 gp 93 pts 159 hits and 99 blocks
The other 171 gp 85 points 131 hits 110 blocks
It's hard to add the 3 toi on mobile so I'm deferring.
Both play wing and c. Both play pk regularly and well. Copp plays more pp but wouldn't if he was on the leafs. Kerfoot is faster. Copp is likely a bit better defensively.
Choose above which player you think is better offensively (I probably choose the second as not getting the pp time)
If your curious the first guys even strength points per 60 in the last three years is 1.5, 2.0, 1.7
The second guys is 1.8, 1.7, 2.8
Tell me which guy you even think is which. They're both middle six wingers/centres who you can punch in wherever in the line up and will do a solid enough job if high and good if low in the lineup.

I'd take that buffalo trade.
I didnt want to trade pysyk the first time but its a solid deal for a replacable guy on a developing team and i like that your paying extra for us to take holl, who could suddenly improve with age or be waived as i'd rather hagg for the roster and money.
That copp trade gets denied though. They'll get a first or better for him for sure especially if they retain, prospects would have to be more enticing.

replace Abruzzeze with Amirov and take out the retention on Crouse (Arizona only has one slot for retention left and I bet they'll use it on Kessel" and they might consider.

Maybe, dude does have good counting stats. I'm not familiar enough with the TML farm.
Then again, I mean, you said it yourself, "This team can win it all," so why not give a little more, eh?

i made the post, i was just stating that i dont think i put enough in, a fair D prospect and a second plus Holl is close but not close enough, like that plus a second or another prospect like villy might get it done

I as a Canuck fan hope he stays with Canucks. Great contract . Smart player brings toughness. Very good pairing with Hughes. It is the type of contract every team hopes for.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DubasJr</b></div><div>If I'm being honest the Wild have to win now (the next 1-2 seasons) before the 3rd and 4th years of Suter/Parise buyout kick in so you got Talbot until than. I do not see Kahkonen being a goalie to take you guys to the promise land. getting value for him now before he walks in free agency in a couple years is probably the right call. Can Probably resign talbot after the 22-23 season for a team friendly deal and he can be Wallstedt's mentor. But ya for the 22-23 campaign they would need a back up. Can always find a cheap option in FA (Desmith, Halak, Francouz. maybe even holtby?). Talbot/Holtby tandem could be gross</div></div>
I guess i can get that logic. Not sure Guerin sees it that way, but i get your thought process.

Cup winning leafs
I dont get the point of going out and trading for ekholm only for him to play 3rd pair minutes. And i dont see the point of playing him more and having either of Reilly or Muzzin playing third pair minutes.
If we trade for a forward who has years left on his current deal beyond this season we open ourselves to losing Holl to Seattle. I would much rather target a rental player and go 4-4-1 and expose Kerfoot and Dermott while protecting all of our current top 4.
Trading Dermott, Liljegren and losing Holl in the expansion leaves this team with a deficient on defense once again especially on the right side, like the last handful of years.
I also think Nashville could get more if they sold these players separately. They are Both top tier trade options for contendors.

Trading Draisaitl is a scary thought because he is that good for the Oilers, but for those trades you almost can't refuse because it would improve the team and clear cap. Nice to see a different touch at the roster.

Is this realistic for next year - PIT trade and FA signings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DubasJr</b></div><div>I don’t think the Pitts deal is realistic. Pitts would need more, Faska is good but not that good.</div></div>
What about Robertson? He’s easily our best prospect and will play in the NHL next year. Almost a goal a game in the OHL and a few points off of 2 points per game. Considering PIT was gonna do Zucker + Rask and whatever else for Kessel, this should be close if not better imo. Clears cap for PIT too
