Massive forward who is deployed in a variety of roles for Colorado.
Strong skater for his stature. Has a gear in open ice. Up to speed he's very difficult to 'front' and defend. Good stick. Net front presence on the PP. Sets screens around the crease. Looks for tips and rebounds. Aware of his surroundings ... has the spatial awareness to find 'quiet ice'
Defensively reliable as well. The Avs have no issues using him in key defensive zone situations, including the PK.
Overall - averages north of 19:00 TOI - all situations - power forward - not punishing physically but very hard to defend ... and difficult to escape when he's bumping up against in d-zone coverage.
