Roy adds value to the middle of the Golden Knights lineup.
He's primarily used as a 3F but has enough skill to be used as a 2F if required.
Big, strong and competitive.
Roy has a gear in open ice. When he gets a lane to the net he isn't shy about taking the play to the net.
He leans shooter more than play maker overall, but has shown he is capable in both roles on the second PP unit.
Last season he averaged 16:17 TOI and was deployed in all situations while providing secondary offense.
Roy isn't shy. He will push back physically and block shots when required.
An area that does need to improve is his efficiency in the face-off circle. He won less than 50% of his draws in 22/23
Through his first 7GP this season he has averaged 15:03 TOI - 12:16 ES - 1:20 PP - 1:27 PK while scoring 3G-1A
