Felton has signed a one-year entry level contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
He was part of the leadership group at the college level / Merrimack and used in all situations.
Sturdy / Strong and quick to take away time and space defensively. Bodies up effectively down low in his zone. He's not the biggest, or strongest, defenceman but he's plenty competitive.
Surprisingly low offensive stats considering how he reads/reacts to plays in the offensive zone. Has shown ability to pinch down to extend plays and work give and goes from high in the offensive zone. Sees the ice.
Fronts opponents on the PK. Willing to block shots.
Doesn't possess an elite element for the NHL game - but his compete, pace, and hockey sense gives him a chance to develop into a potential organizational depth player.
