Don't know why OTT would do this. They are giving up their 2C for an aging winger that most likely only plays part of the season for him them then leaves. Also, Turris could also leave OTT, so they need Brassard just in case.

That's fair. I thk Brassard has slid considerably tho (aging himself), and isn't worth 5 million. A budget team like Ottawa would rather have a guy on an expiring deal maybe and save going forward. Especially if a younger C takes Brassards TOI...
Pittsburgh could stomach the overpay for next season plus one probably

Granted Ottawa may not even make the playoffs next season so, IDK

Is it? I thk rediculous is trading Zbanejad for Brassard in the first place. Ottawa is due for some regression.

Hornqvist is also a legit top six with great WAR and is a rental. He has really good value, especially coming off two cups
