How does he help.
He's slow, small, gets pushed around.
He's just a very small mouse good at collecting trash around the net. He does not drive play, he benefits from more talented players on his line.

Evolving Hockey has a 4-year deal as the 2nd most likely behind a 7-year deal (19% vs 52% likelihood). They have a 4-year deal valued at $8.8. I wouldn't say it's likely, but there's certainly a chance.

I usually agree with their model but I just can't see a star who's 29 take a 4 year deal on his big money contract

It's definitely interesting and probably driven by CAR's cap situation likely not making them a factor in signing him. If he were to re-sign with CAR, or anyone who attained his rights, the most likely contract becomes $10.4x8 at 47%. $9x6 is the 2nd most likely in the same-team situation.
