Does somebody any information about Dave Bolland? He hasn't played since Dec 2015. Will he come back to play again at NHL-level? What's his exact injury?

From what I read from last september, he substained an injury to his lower vertebrae and he torn a tendon in his ankle. His agent said that hes not able to rehab his ankle until his lower back is completely healed because of a pinched nerve as a result of the vertebrae issue. He still hasnt hit the stage where hes even been cleared physically to skate. With his concussion history to add on, theres a good chance he doesnt play again, but he is only 31
