there’s no reason to move 7th overall for anything like that

Of course they're listening, that's their job. Like if Montreal came saying they'd trade 5 OA for 7 OA and Korpisalo then absolutely they trade the 7th pick. But the 7th pick is only getting moved in 1 of 2 scenarios - no brainer that gets them a star that's signed long term or moving down a couple spots if they think they can get a prospect at a similar level. They're not trading it for 3rd line/pair guys like this.
