Marner ideally accepts a trade to get away from the T.O. media.
He could go to Utah, St. Louis, LA, or Philly.
I am a big fan of either Mcbain and Crouse from Utah, Konecny from Philly, or even Buch/Parayko from the Blues. I know his value is low but most of these teams need regular-season success and that is where Marner shines.
Also, not worth it, the Leafs would probably have to increase in retention or picks or a better prospect to make this better/more even for Utah.
An interesting trade could be Konecny and Laughton - this would cost more though.
I highly doubt Brett Pesce will come to Toronto, why would he leave Carolina, but maybe money talks, they do have lots to re-sign... If Pesce doesn't come then re-sign Liljegren at 1.65 million for 2 years.
I would try and pry Brossoit from the Jets, he would get more playing time here than behind Helle and would have a chance to take over as NO. 1. Honestly 4 mil might not be enough to get him. If he is not an option I would go with Sammy or Rittich as a backup to Woll and keep Jones as a 3rd option for under 1 mil.
