It was quite the season that’s for sure! I was very wrong on a few teams, but that’s what makes guessing the standings fun lol. So I will list below my predictions from last year and beside each team how far off I was placement wise and points wise! Please let me know your thoughts!

e.g. +3/-2 (means they are 3 spots higher than i though and had 2 less points than i thought)

Final Standings Predictions: (W/L/OTL) (Placement/Points)
1. COL - 57/16/9 - 123 (-7/-16) Georgiev is not a starter, and he should not be playing the amount he is, I am very disappointed in the avs this year, especially from georgiev
2. TOR - 53/19/10 - 116 (-8/-14) Like the avs, the goaltending was very sketchy but even more so. I thought we were going to see and sammy and soup 1 for 1 trade
3. TBL - 51/21/10 - 112 (-10/-14) Listen, this was one of my dumb mistakes, the lightning arent what they used to be. But Kuch (my hart winner) single handedly brought this team into a spot
4. NJD - 52/23/7 - 111 (-19/-30) By far my biggest miss, i really thought they would keep the momentum of last year and surprise people, they surprised us in another way
5. EDM - 51/22/9 - 111 (-4/-7) Ive said this before, DONT SIGN A NEW GOALIE TO A LONG TERM DEAL! But man what a comeback, to help make me look less dumb in my prediction
6. CAR - 52/25/5 - 109 (+3/+2) Very close to where i expected them
7. NYR - 51/25/6 - 108 (+6/+6) Wow, they look scary. Shesty is back, the bread man is cooking. This team is a unit
8. DAL - 49/25/8 - 106 (+6/+7) (I was a little off on the stars, otter played fantastic this year and they had some really solid depth scoring a definite cup contender
9. VGK - 48/24/10 - 106 (-5/-8)
10. LAK - 46/23/11 - 103 (-2/-4) For a very inconsistent team they look very solid, and can definitely play spoiler.
11. MIN - 46/28/8 - 100 (-9/-13) Very big disappointment from minny, I was expecting to be a team that could play spoiler and they just looked meh
12. BOS - 44/30/8 - 96 (+5/+13) This team just cant stop being good even after losing two top 6 centers. They want revenge from last year, and a definite cup contender
13. VAN - 43/30/9 - 95 (+7/+14) For a team who a lot of people had out of the playoffs (not me tho) they were so impressive to watch this year.
14. BUF - 44/33/6 - 94 (-8/-10) Oh Buffalo, I just never learn and you never change. You have failed the entire hockey community.
15. PIT - 42/32/8 - 92 (-4/-4) So close, I wanted crosby to have another crack at the cup this year with karlsson, we will just have to wait
16. WPG - 42/32/8 - 92 (+12/+18) Huge miss from me, helly, valardi and ehlers look fantastic and really made this team scary.
17. FLA - 41/32/9 - 91 (+12/+19) Another HUGE miss. I did not expect them to play as well as last year, but my god do they have heart.
18. SEA - 40/32/10 - 90 (-7/-9)
19. NYI - 42/36/6 - 90 (+4/+4) Such a mid franchise, never great, never terrible. Always hard to predict how theyll do. Sorokin really was not himself this year however and varlamov stepped up nicely.
20. OTT - 39/35/8 - 86 (-5/-8) People called me crazy for having you not make the playoffs. Whose crazy now?
21. CGY - 40/37/5 - 85 (-3/-4) About expected
22. NSH - 39/36/7 - 85 (+11/+14) What. A. Heater. Saros did not start off great this year, but he found his footing and really excelled
23. STL - 38/38/6 - 82 (+7/+10) Much better than anticipated, binnington really stepped up this year and its a shame they couldnt make it.
24. WSH - 36/39/7 - 79 (+7/+12) I had no expectation of them making the playoffs, or even being good. I am shocked and honestly upset.
25. DET - 33/40/9 - 75 (+7/+16) Were they close to making the playoffs? Yes. Did they make the playoffs? No. Was I right? Yes.
26. CBJ - 32/44/6 - 70 (-1/-4)
27. MTL - 32/45/5 - 69 (+1/+7) My second favourite team, they did about what i expected out of them. But Slaf, he is looking really comfortable now. Im happy :)
28. PHI - 31/44/7 - 69 (+7/+18) What a run they had, they definitely exceeded expectations, and torts seems to be the guy for the job in philly
29. ARI - 32/46/4 - 68 (+2/+9) Listen, you had terrible management, the move was inevitable, and I hope yotes fans get their team again soon <3
30. CHI - 28/47/7 - 63 (-1/-11) Bedard looks great, but he just needs more around him to get this team into the playoffs
31. ANA - 26/51/5 - 57 (+1/+2)
32. SJS - 22/50/10 - 52 (0/-5) Absolute dumpster fire, hopefully you get celebrini and some good free agents
