RFA Signings: Kakko's been hurt for a lot of the season, I think the Rangers can convince him to sign a one-year prove-it deal. This is under the assumption that Perreault signs at the end of the NCAA season. Either Kakko performs and going into 25-26 you have a right side of Lafreniere-Kakko-Perreault, or he doesn't and you move him and have a top 6 at least of Lafreniere-Perreault. Lindgren gets his extension, I'm not sure how much he can really ask for and I'm not sure he's finding a better D partner if he forces a move. Schneider gets a two-year extension that matches with Trouba's contract. Once Trouba's money is off the books, Schneider gets his big contract.

UFA Signings: Perron is a stop-gap to Perreault. NYR can sign him to a cheaper deal with performance bonuses. He's a capable player to round out a strong top 6. If Wheeler was only worth 800k I think 2.5m for Perron is realistic.

Goodrow gets bought out next season so the penalty is only 4 years. If Chytil is still hurt I think the Rangers can find a capable 3C replacement with his money on LTIR, which won't make the Rangers go 10% above the cap. While I'd love someone like Buchnevich or a big UFA signing, it just doesn't make sense when you have Lafreniere, Kakko, and Perreault, and potentially a LW that can switch over. If the Rangers wanted to make a big move for a RW, they would have done so at the deadline.
