Well the rumblings were they wanted to move Joseph out for Cap reasons. Norris is too injury prone to earn that cap hit, and Chyc has supposedly been on the block since the TDL. Also hearing Alfredson wants EK65 back, so I thought this wouldhit those marks plus a 20+ goal scorer with a6M cap hit to balance the deal with a couple of picks.

Not enough back? Or don't want to move Norris? What are your thoughts?

You do realize that Joseph was going to be moved out BEFROE the season even started because of the cap. Going into next season the cap will be fine. Norris either stays healthy(ish) or gets LTIR, no reason to move him for a bad contract. Ottawa shouldn't be looking to bring EK back unless it's at 50% retained and for basically nothing. They don't need his contract on the books and isn't the defensive defenseman they're looking for. Really no reason to do this trade for Ottawa.

No, they should be fine with no re-signing people and the buyouts coming off the books as well.
