Not really. NSH is likely asking for a 2nd minimum for Carrier. TOR is also asking NSH to take on Reaves contract, which is going to cost TOR. Reaves has negative value, not other way around it. You are tossing in Timmins who doesn't get any play time in TOR now, and won't over anyone in NSH's pipeline either, but will cover part of the cost of taking on Reaves. The 1st is the combined cost or Carrier and the rest of the cost of taking on Reaves

Reaves would only be a 200k hit if he is loaned to the Marlies, it really is not that big a deal and the leafs don't need to pay anyone to take him. Giving up a 1st for a former 4th rental is a bit too much
