Reading on colorado hockey news that Elliotte Friedman said avs are pursuing tanev. But flames are looking for a 1st rd. That's an overpayment right there for a rental and already almost 35.

However I think if they do a package deal they should do it.

Sharangovich is too good and too cheap to trade for the flames.

We gotta read between the lines on a Tanev trade. If they're trading for Tanev, they're trading Bo or Manson for something else. I dont think the Avs do it in a vacuum.

Agreed. But generally speaking it would seem like a lateral move to go D out for D in, and the money doesn't really work. Could they be hoping to flip Tanev? Seems overly complicated.

Nah, Tanev is a rental. They'd move one of those other defensemen for a more legit center. I don't really see it, tbh.
