Precisely. Maybe they end up going for Scott Laughton instead. The Flyers are asking a lot, apparently, but maybe less than for Hanifin, and perhaps more of a positional need as a middle six center who plays a Bruins style of game. Still tough as the Flyers are in a playoff battle.

If the Flyers fade. What would it take to pry Laughton away from PHI?

I might be able to set something up.. but on second thought, I'm not sure. I actually think Philadelphia is valuing Laughton too much if they want a 1st round pick and possibly plus for him. He had the one season with 43 points, but has been a typical quite good 3rd line center otherwise. All I could think of was Morgan Geekie and a 2025 1st, but I don't know that Laughton would be that huge of an upgrade at this point to warrant surrendering a 1st. Perhaps other, better options would appear in the offseason or afterward.
