Flyers keep it simple, sell high, do not try and re-invent the wheel, and get their asking price for each of their veterans who are all at peak value at the trade deadline (TDL). A 1st and a prospect for both Sarge and Walker are a solid return and getting a nifty 2nd round pick for Seeler as a rental is nothing to scoff at.

Although Tort's system is working well with the players I opine to move, these trades make sense, especially with highly touted prospects Emil Andrae and Bobby Brink available to fill in and play on the fly with this surprisingly exciting group now and into the Playoffs. Also, having veteran Marc Staal is useful to fill in with Sanny making the shift to the Right side.
