Description

After making two deals with Vancouver it seems like Conroy doesn’t care about trading with Div rivals. Not completely sure on Tanev’s value so feel free to express opinions in the comments.

I’ve seen Caps fans say a 2nd and a B level prospect is fine for Dowd. Happy to do business if that’s the case.

Taking a flyer on Kubalik and see if draisaitl can get him some pucks in the slot. low cap hit & low acquisition cost make this a low risk move.

Probably valid, & yeah, tullio & Bourgault had promise but Colin Chaulk is a prospect ruiner down there. What prospect outside of Broberg & Bourgault should be added to that 2nd?

Y'all's pool is pretty thin, but Beryozkin and Copponi are fairly interesting prospects. Petrov could also use the Hershey treatment. What's the buzz on Holloway?

I’m sure Copponi is available, Holloway has been a super good puck mover and forchecker since coming back from injury. I would assume he’s pretty much untouchable. Could see him becoming a 20G 30A power forward, and he’s local ( Calgary ) so I’m sure Edmonton wants to hang onto him.

Kubalik is somewhere in the 4th range, maybe slightly more but probably not a 3rd. so like a 4th, or two 5ths, something along those lines

I'm sure they would if they were getting appropriate value back. Dowd at 50% retention would return a second and a good prospect or a late first imo.

A second plus for Dowd with no retention would probably be fine, but if you told me this trade happened and it was the best offer on the market for Dowd, I'd be happy with it. If the caps can get more, they should hold out for that offer, obviously.

No you don't. CGY could easily flip Ceci.
Don't get me wrong, Tanev is an upgrade. The Ceci hate is too strong from the analytics crowd. He's a 2RD and that's still an asset to a lot of teams looking for RHD.
Ceci + Kemp + 1st + 3rd is def an overpay!
