Description
STAMKOS IS COMPLETELY HYPOTHETICAL AND VERY UNLIKELY! Let's get that out of the way right now. *Stamkos would be choosing EDM with his NMC in this HYPOTHETICAL scenario*
Walker/Seeler for Holloway/Kulak is a great deal IMO.

-I see Holland rolling with Pickard until the playoffs where I see Campbell joining the team. Campbell costs too much to move. Buyout in the summer if he doesn't bounce back.
-Give Broberg the 3LD job full-time next year. Bring him up if an injury occurs. Do not trade this kid!

Need to add again that this is HYPOTHETICAL because TB fans in the comments aren't grasping this concept!
Transactions

EDM
  1. Stamkos, Steven (4 250 000 $ retained)

Holloway is improving but EDM needs scoring depth for the playoffs. As much as Holloway is expected to help in the future, decisions need to be made about winning a Stanley Cup!
Kulak's cap hit makes him replaceable. You can gush over these guys all you want but the fact is the PHI trade would be an upgrade for the Oilers! Seeler would be fighting for ice time with Desharnais as Walker can play both sides! Ceci has been on fire with Nurse while playing top line mins and you want to keep Kulak over him?... Get some sleep, you're trippin

Do you even watch the games? Holloway IS scoring depth. He’s creates lots out there. And selling him now would be selling him at his lowest value. And if the Oilers want MORE scoring depth they can spend a 1st and get a 2RW. They can target Mantha, Tarasenko, Duclair, Okposo etc etc. there’s lot of rental RWers available for picks.

Seeler is not better than Desharnais in no shape or form. I know his game well. Good defensive D with a bit of a snarl but Vinny is better in every respect including puck movement.

Ceci on fire? Wtf are you talking about. Dude does an okay job on defence but couldn’t score to save his life. He’s on the longest goalless streak in the entire team. And yeh offence matters on his spot when the Oilers consistently set him up for shots and offensive zone puck touches that he does absolutely NOTHING with. Did you watch him last night? He gave away the puck at the offensive blue line with a bad pass. He shot directly into a defenders chest when set up for a point shot. This is his game, every game. Meanwhile Kulak hits a post and gets an apple on a smart pass into the slot.

You’re bad at assessing hockey, just plain bad.

Walker is also better than Ceci. I know his game well. That’s the upgrade the Oilers need. Not this imagined upgrade of Kulak to Seeler.

In your biased opinion...
Stamkos is comparable to Kane. That's fair to anyone who's not being a homer!

Holloway - 16GP 2G 1A 3P -2 0.19P/GP
Career - 67GP 5G 7A 12P -2 0.18P/GP
WTF are you talking about??? He's been mediocre. Plays on the 4th line with no important roles on PP or PK... You're glorifying his importance to EDM way too much!

Seeler/Walker combination is the attractive part of the deal since they're familiar with each other and EDM needs depth on defense!

Ceci isn't on the top line to score goals... he's there to play defense! IDK if you've noticed but EDM is on a historic winning streak with Ceci at 1RD... Ceci>Kulak PERIOD!

Seeler wasn't implied as an upgrade to Kulak... WALKER IS! Kulak is the cap dump and Holloway is the return to get Walker! Seeler is insurance and depth for a playoff run! He's leading PHI in EV GD which is HUGE for a deep playoff run!!! He's also playing more than Kulak or Desharnais on a weaker team in PHI.
You got some Oilers blinders on!

As I've already said... HYPOTHETICAL AND UNLIKELY.
Until a contract is signed with a NMC it could happen!

pick a struggle my guy you just proved why this whole thing isn't a possibility

As said, BriseBois said mid season they've got no intention of asking him to waive or seek a trade, and Stamkos said he's planning on staying at least to the end of the season.
Even if you won the lottery and he would be willing to waive, we're not retaining 50%, at least not for 3rds and conditional 4ths for a guy like him when a washed up grilled cheese man from Philadelphia at 50% retained got a 1st, 3rd, and high rated prospect in Owen Tippett in return. Your offer gets beat my multiple other teams, and I think Stamkos would waive for other places before considering Edmonton.

READ THE TRADE COMMENTS!
Stamkos & Kane are very comparable HYPOTHETICALLY(quit getting your panties in a knot over intentionally unlikely scenarios, its just a bit of fun) so HYPOTHETICALLY they would fetch comparable returns... hence the trade value being close to(actually more) P. Kane! TB fans going blue in the face over something I've clearly stated as HYPOTHETICAL is embarrassing! Get over the "he's gonna stay" BS and either play along or beat it!

I prefer to keep my boxers in bundles thank you very much, though I'm not sure what your underwear obsession has to do with an Edmonton Oilers armchair GM.

that hip replaced geriatric Kane and his trade values have long fallen off of a cliff and suffered injuries that's why he got so little in return. Stamkos has been the healthier of the two and put up a 100 point and PPG season last year, when Kane's best days are long behind him. They play different roles, and are not at all comparable, so stop trying to justify that and die on this hill.

if you can't beat the heat why cook in the kitchen in the first place? you're microwaving at best with this proposal anyways, for fun or not, it's not my fault or anyone else's that you didn't do your research about a long brewing situation before posting about a critical player on this forum with a return more fragile than your baby rage lol. if that's the case I'll counter with McDavid at 50% retained for Conor Sheary and a conditional 5th, just for fun, purely hypothetical. oilers fans going orange with rage in the face over something that's never going to happen is embarrassing, get over your unrealistic fantasy bs and either accept the situation for what it is or beat it!
