I will defend some of my picks here, for the most part these teams will likely not have 1 standout bad deal
Arizona: Don't really have any "bad" deals but its likely either Schmaltz or Lawson but both are solid players
Buffalo: Even though Skinner is playing well in 2 years his 9 mil could end up being a bad deal for them.
Carolina: Just cause I'm a Habs fan doesn't mean this is hate on KK but they don't have many deals high w/term it would be KK or Bunting IMO for Carolina. Maybe Orlov but he's only got 1 year left
Colorado: Not too many bad deals but I think it was between Toews/Nichushkin/Lehkonen but all 3 aren't bad
Detroit: JT Compher or Chiarot went with the longer Term
Florida: Bob has been good, but they don't have any other bad deals
LA: Almost put Doughty but he's been good this year so maybe he can stretch the good play out a couple more years, If PLD gets back to his form then its likely Doughtys 11mil thats the worst
Minnesota: Strictly aged based
Montreal: People might say Anderson because Gall's been more consistent this year but Gally is on the same Term making 1mil more per season and he's older
Nashville: Age is my big factor here
New Jersey: People might've expected Meier but I think he can easily bounce back next year, Palat however is on the decline and it was a bad deal when they signed it
NYI: dip in production is the main reason for this
NYR: Goodrow being their worst deal is music to NYR Fans unless you think its Trouba's 8mil it was a toss up for me
Ottawa: If Norris can stay healthy then its not to bad with rising cap but for now its him / if anyone else then Korpisalo
Philly: Couturier is a great player I think the Term makes it the worst for the flyers
Pittsburg: I think its self explanatory but for me its just to unlikely he helps then that much to get back to the finals
Tampa: Hagels extension is what got him on the list, I think it could really make or break if Tampa will continue to compete at the top for the next 5 years
Toronto: Tavares deal is bad until it expires, the worst leafs deal will be apparent after the 2024/25 season when the big 4 are either resigned or gone.
Vancouver: Not too bad but their worst IMO
Washington: Wilson or Carlson went for longer term
J T Compher isn't Detroit's worst contract. At least he's on pace for around 50 points this season. Our worst contracts by far are Andrew Copp and Ben Chiarot.

Yeah I'd say Copp for sure now. Chairot seems to fill a role and dare I say he's actually been decent this season.

I would've said Husso but he only has a year and a half left on his contract.
Sorry, but I guess I'm missing the point. How would Toews, Lehkonen, or Nichushkin qualify as COL's worst contract? I would think it's Johansen at $4M and contributing .38 ppg
I'd say Schmidt is worse than Niederreiter in WPG. But yeah they don't have a total standout terrible contract!
It's gotta be Schmidt in my opinion. The strange part is that he's playing so well that the Jets are a worse team if they trade him (unless they bring in a big name RHD that they can't afford to re-sign). Easily worth $3-4M in his third pairing role. The bad part of his contract is that it doesn't end this summer.
Stone is one of the best defensive wingers, if not THE best in the league, and is above point per game. I'd take that contract any day
if he stays healthy and at 3 more years it could be rough, but like I said in the description Worst contract doesn't mean bad players, not every team has a bad contract
