bjug was a great addition last year and really was open to resign with EDM but wasnt offered the money. he'd be a great addition for a team that desperately needs some size in the bottom 6 and is a great middle 6 player for next season at a great cap hit since they have to deal with browns bonuses. vej is a very underrated goalie and has been rumored to be on the block after ingrams emergance. vej has some great underlying numbers and with a solid team in front of him who knows what he could become. a solid 1b option and I feel like he can go on a run if we need

bjug is worth a 2nd when retained and vej is worth around a 3rd/4th pick so a 1st and a prospect should be more than enough even if AZ want to go for a playoff push

at this point its time to give up on Campbell and take your L on this. its embarrassing that as a 5M goalie, you're losing the starting job in the AHL to a rookie.. probably going to cost a 1st and a prospect and more to get rid of him. also adding a top 6 option in duclair who went to the finals last year and had decent playoffs after being injured hes probably worth a 3rd maybe a 2nd when retained

a good oppurtunity to get some free assets by using your cap space. SJ has no plans to be anywhere near competitive for the next 3 years so by the time they want to start being competitive campbells contract will have run its course. this is probably the only team that makes sense to take campbell as they have no immediate reason to win games.

the oilers need to upgrade ceci badly. as much as he would be a great bottom pair dman hes being used as a top 4 dman because of the lack of depth on the oilers right side. Tanev is exactly what the oilers need, one of the best defensive defenseman in the NHL. he would be paired with nurse and i believe he could also elevate nurse and make his contract less of a problem even though it will always be one. with that top 4 on defense the oilers look poised for a deep playoff run

if calgary is going to sell at the deadline this can be a good return for a player they wont resign this offseason. ceci could be half reatined next year and traded for some assets, broberg is a former top 10 pick and needs some playing time in the nhl which could be given by calgary if they sell hard and on top of this a 2nd and a 3rd. feels like a no-brainer to me if they are going to sell
