      That Marleau deal was bad, and I feel unnecessary. I think the biggest issue facing the Leafs is getting the 3 locked up and not asking for the moon. Tavares won't happen unless the move one of the 3 and I doubt they can keep JVR, unless he resigns for the cheap, which I doubt he will. This us his last big contract coming up.

      Trade Nylander+Carrick/Gardiner to get a promising young forward or defenseman on an entry-level contract? Or try to sign Nylander & Marner for under 7 mil.

      Technically if this is taking place 3 years from now it is likely that the salary cap has increased $6+ mil. Trading Marleau to a team trying to hit the cap floor would free up more than enough money.
