It is not likely that Hossa's full cap hit will be relieved, but rather $2-3M of it. This lineup retains some flexibility, though, since there are at least 2-3 spots where guys can be sent down to AHL.

Now, Jagr is a proven scorer with great hands and possession ability. He's big and takes up space/defenders in the offensive zone. In many ways he's a lot like Hossa, but cheaper on a one year deal. He could make the Toews line really difficult for opposing teams or slot him on the third line to really extend the team's depth. There aren't many scenarios I can imagine where Jagr wouldn't help the Hawks, unless he has an objection to playing with them or Q doesn't feel there's a strong team-chemistry factor.
