Description
Did some tinkering to make room for the young guns, and avoid positional logjams. Depth is good, but there's a point where you have too many similar players.

NHL Ready Depth In AHL:
- Holland (C)
- Martinsen (C, wings)
- Scherbak (RW)
- Terry (RW)
- de la Rose (LW, C)
- Morrow (D)
- Lernout (D)
- Taormina (D)
- Lindgren (G)

Trade explanation (EDM):
I've seen Gallagher trades time and time again to Edmonton. Seems like that's the type of player fans (and even GM's) want. This gives us an option at C which seems to be 2C material in a maximum of 2 years, though still unsure.

Trade explanation (DAL):
Clearing up this year's logjam at D. Dallas receives NHL-ready 5/6 defenseman with possible upside to be 2nd pairing guy, though more likely decent 3rd pairing guy. Also receive good AHL-er with possible good NHL potential (had 6 goals in 23 games in his debut season), but very uncertain. Added 6th round pick as insurance. Dallas gives one AHL-level D who has potential to be top-4 guy, but much more uncertainty than Davidson who has been established.

Signing explanations (Jagr):
He adds some veteran leadership and potential goal scoring. He's better suited on a 3rd line role, imo. One year only, because this is a high-risk signing, but we have tons of cap space to do it.

Why would you trade a solid player and a good depth player for an underachieving former first round pick? Doesn't make any sense to me, even if it adds a center to your roster. This is coming from a Bruins fan...
